This five-day course features intensive hands-on training that focuses on installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere® 7, which includes VMware ESXi™ 7 and VMware vCenter Server® 7. This course prepares you to administer a vSphere infrastructure for an organization of any size.

Prerequisites

System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. This course is the foundation for most of the other VMware technologies in the software-defined data center.

Overview

During this 3-day course, you focus on deploying and managing VMware vSphere® with Tanzu. You learn about how vSphere with Tanzu can be used to orchestrate the delivery of Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications in a vSphere environment.

Prerequisites

This course requires completion the following courses:

• VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage OR VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale
  AND
• VMware NSX-T Data Center: Install, Configure, Manage

Target Audience

During this one-day course, you focus on using VMware TanzuTM Mission ControlTM to provision and manage Kubernetes clusters. The course covers how to manage on-premise and cloud-based Kubernetes clusters and how to apply access, image registry, and network policies to clusters.

Prerequisites

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) is beneficial if you intend to deploy Kubernetes clusters on AWS.

Target Audience

VI administrators who are responsible for deploying and managing Tanzu Kubernetes clusters.

Overview

During this two-day course, you focus on installing VMware Tanzu™ Kubernetes Grid™ on a VMware vSphere® environment and then provisioning and managing Tanzu Kubernetes clusters.

Overview

This five-day, fast-paced course provides comprehensive training on how to install, configure, and manage a VMware NSX-T™ Data Center environment. This course covers key NSX-T Data Center features and functionality offered in the NSX-T Data Center 3.0 release, including the overall infrastructure, logical switching, logical routing, networking and security services, micro-segmentation and firewalls, and more.
Access to a software-defined data center environment is provided through hands-on labs to reinforce the skills and concepts presented in the course.

• Good understanding of TCP/IP services and network security and working experience with firewalls
• Working experience of enterprise switching and routing
