Description
This course provides an overview of the features and functions supported by Backup, Recovery and Media Services (BRMS). BRMS is an integrated and comprehensive tool for managing backup, recovery, archive, and retrieval operations for a single Power System with IBM i or multiple IBM i systems at a site or across a BRMS Network.

Objectifs
- List the features and functions provided by BRMS
- List the different software that makes up the BRMS product
- Discuss the benefits of using the work with media (WRKMEDBRM) command
- Discuss the benefits of using the work with media informaiton (WRKMEDIBRM) command
- Discuss the benefits of using backup control groups to do your backups
Audience
This is an intermediate course for Power System with IBM i administrators, IBM Business Partners, and anyone else who would like practical knowledge of the features and functions supported by BRMS.
This intermediate course is a prerequisite for all students who will be attending BRMS for IBM i (AS28G).
Prérequis
You should have a general understanding of the IBM i capabilities and operations in the area of save and restore.
