This one-day course is aimed at administrators and IT professionals who want to deepen their know-how to carry out an implementation of Defender for Cloud and protect hybrid infrastructures.
Before attending this course, students must have:
- Good understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure elements
- Good knowledge of AAD and AD
- Good understanding of networking and security
- Understanding of TCP/IP v4
Demos are based on current version of products and could be in some cases, with interactive guides for attendees.
Module 1: “Overview of Defender Product Line”
This module discusses the overview of Microsoft Defender Product Line and the positioning of Defender for Cloud into a hybrid world.
After completing this module, students will be able to:

- Understand the basic security coverage on Defender solutions.
Module 2: “Managing on hybrid infrastructure with Windows Admin Center”
This module discusses the connection between the Windows Admin Center and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Understand hybrid management with Windows Admin Center
- Establish the connection between WAC and Defender for Cloud
Module 3: “Connecting Microsoft Defender for Cloud to other elements”
This module discusses the way to connect other Clouds providers and other elements to Defender for Cloud.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Understand the multi-cloud protection approach
- Read results on Defender for Cloud Console
Module 4: “Understanding security policies and initiatives”
This module discusses Azure security policies, the collection of policies named initiatives and how both can create the bench which will help to define the best security posture.
After completing this module, students will be able to:
- Understand the usage of Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Deploy policies / initiatives and track usage and resources behaviors
