This case study outlines Arrow Education’s approach to delivering a tailored IBM i2 training plan to Abu Dhabi Police.

Background &  Brief

Abu Dhabi Police recently deployed IBM’s i2 intelligence and fraud solutions to support their new Criminal Analysis Division. Previous analysis had all been paper based which was very labour intensive and not scalable. IBM’s i2 offered a more manageable, scalable solution saving both time and resources. Better analysis of call data also helped identify criminal links that had previously been missed.
Abu Dhabi Police had a requirement to train over 20 of their Analysis team on the IBM i2 product suite. This was an urgent requirement for the new team that needed the essential skills to drive the tools and maximise the i2 product functionality. The ultimate objective being to provide more proactive policing within the community. The training had to be delivered in London within specific timescales due to operational demands.

The Approach

Arrow adopted a collaborative approach and worked closely with Abu Dhabi Police to arrange a tailored delivery specific to their requirements within tight timescales. This involved liaising with the resource team, instructors and Abu Dhabi Police to scope the specific training requirements, to include agreement on; a modular course outline, materials, schedule of dates and all commercial aspects.
